Progression run today.Was supposed to do 30 min. but coach told me to cut it back to 20 min. halfway through. I guess it was too hot for us to do the full workout today. It threw off my plans as far as pacing and timing were concerned, but I still managed to go 6:15 for the first 15 min, then I cut the pace down to basically an all out sprint by the last minute. A bit of a wierd run, but a decent workout nontheless.

| Workout in the morning today. 12*400 @ race pace w/ last 4 hard. Supposed to hit 1:20 for first 8. Went 1:21, 1:20, 1:18, 1:18, 1:17, 1:15, 1:16, 1:15, and then 1:10, 1:08, 1:07, 1:06 for the last 4. Pretty good workout, especially for the morning.
3 in the afternoon by myself. Had to go home early so I could get some family stuff done.

| No run this morning. Coach let us sleep in today. Which is pretty nice.
Got provo, and did our usual 3 miles around the park. Nice to get a little bit of a run in after hours of sitting on a bus.

| Wierd race today. Got out super good, and settled into my race pace. Decided beforehand that I'd get out quick to avoid the bottleneck of the first 100 meters, then I'd settle in. Went through the first mile feeling pretty good. Second mile I was going WAY too slow. Guess I was just so focused on staying relaxed that I wasn't paying attention to my speed. Started hammering the pace, and passed quite a few people too. Ethan came up on my shoulder right around 600 meters to go, and I knew there was no way I'd let him beat me. Finished really strong. Top 30 got shirts, and I was 31st :(. Oh well. Pretty good race nonetheless. I took off over a minute from my time here last year, and I get to go to Woodbridge!.
